My garden is starting to show signs of autumn. Most notably chamisa is coming into bloom, which makes me reach for the allergy meds. The roses are enjoying the monsoon rains, and my potted tomatoes and herbs are happy. I only putter in the garden – don’t have time for much more – but it gives me pleasure.

It’s been so hot, my roses are looking horrible! I’m hoping the cool fall weather will give them a little boost for some nice fall blooms.
